The Turnaround Cost Coordinator manages, analyzes and forecasts TA related costs throughout the life cycle of the Turnaround
Provide essential information to management Steering Team and Core Team during all phases of the turnaround.
Your key responsibilities are:
Use facility strategy, operation’s scope, engineering estimates, and historical data to build a 3.1.3 Budget Estimate based off known TA scope
Use other resources to estimate new/unique jobs as appropriate
Develops 3.2.3 Definition Estimate based on SAP plans, engineering estimates, and vendor estimates
Use planner data to estimate all add-ons and input data into ROI add-on tool (Playbook 4) for management evaluation
Assists with the development of the Plan for Management and Control as it pertains to Cost Management.
Facilitate the building and optimization of a headcount based estimate for major service providers that will bill based on time & material (T&M) (Playbook 7)
Ensure that all management reports accurately reflect this plan
Analyze and report variances from headcount and cost plan as work progresses (Playbook 10)
Calculate and Report cost estimate at completion (forecasts) that include the most up to date plan for service providers and work scope (Playbook 4 & 10)
Accrue all costs in accordance with Dow expense guidelines
Provides data to Turnaround Manager for START updates
Takes appropriate action to resolve cost discrepancies and issues
Finalize & archive all cost information and assists with generations of financial portion of the closure report
Variances >10% between Planner vs Actual costs must be validated and job plans updated to reflect what actually happened in the field.
Billable man-hours reconciled against planned man-hours by contractor by job by contractor by job
Changes in billable man-hours from field change orders, discoveries and add-ons received after feed off must be reconciled with contractor invoices.
Wat verwachten wij?
2 years relevant experience in accounting, purchasing, projects, or a plant environment. Or A Technical or Associates degree in business, accounting or finance
Experience in the application of analytical tools and critical thinking to a work environment
Strong comprehension and application of mathematics
Mastery of PC based tools and strong computer skills are required.
Advanced skills in Excel are required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of SAP management systems
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Knowledge of work processes relating to project or turnaround management, such as Global Turnaround Methodology, Global Project Methodology or Total Cost Management Framework (AACEI)
